Second Life Program A non-profit charity that recovers explanted useable pacemakers and defibrillators and prepares them to be shipped to second and third world countries (refurbished and tested for re-use). These patients often cannot afford these necessary medical devices. Families that wish to donate these items from a deceased remains will receive a federal income tax credit and will need to sign consent forms for the donation. Funeral homes that wish to participate can contact Robert M. Green at 203-318-0472 for a donation kit and further information. Second Life is also seeking physicians who would be willing to travel overseas to perform surgery to implant these devices. All inquiries from physicians should go to Mr. Green at the number listed above.
